Learn more about K Street Gardens:
The Farm is a ¾ acre plot located adjacent to the Walker Jones Education Campus, a Pre-K through 8th grade DC Public School. This educational farm is managed and maintained by DC Greens as a unique resource for Walker Jones teachers, students, and families, and the surrounding community. Throughout the growing season they employ two neighborhood residents in an urban farmer training program designed to build green job/transferable professional skills. It is also a professional development training site for a network of school garden coordinators from all eight wards of the city. Production from the farm goes to supply a network of DC School Garden Markets, student run farmer's markets.
