Pre-session- How to plan a meeting

This will be an interactive roundtable exercise of planning a mock meeting. We will start by briefly going over how different parts of the industry work together. We will then give the students a scenario to plan. After about 20 minutes we will have the students report back and go over lessons learned.

HR/Professional Advice Panel

How to build an effective resume, how to network, how to look for internships and jobs, interviewing tips for the hospitality industry

4:15 - 4:30 PM
Deep dive of HR/Professional Advice Panel

This will be a brief follow up session broken out into two groups Freshman/Sophomores & Junior/Seniors. The deep dive will include targeted topics for each group.

4:30 - 5:15 PM
How to create your career path?

Now that we have went over the nuts and bolts of networking and resumes, we will hear a panel of diverse speakers that can speak a little more about the skills to look for to get to certain jobs and how to start paving your career path. Panel will speak for about 30/35 minutes with an opportunity for Q&A or just roll into the reception around 5:15.

5:15 - 6:30 PM
Networking reception
A casual reception where students and professionals can mix and chat.
