This fast-moving, laugh-filled session takes you through a day in the life of a tech-savvy convention manager. You’ll learn how to: solve a security crisis before 10 am; make more of a lunch hour with an extra set of virtual hands; save money on software before the staff meeting; and bring the team together online before the day is done.
• Understand how technology fits into every part of your day
• Learn about technology systems that streamline projects and tasks
• Discover dozens of free and bargain apps and online tools that put the ideas from the conference into action!
Session II - How DO They Do That: Secret Tech Weapons for Convention Managers
What if you could whip up a graphic to brand your next conference in a matter of minutes? Or schedule a meeting without having to send three-dozen emails to find a time everyone could meet? Or, create a dazzling multimedia video to help woo the big client? Or automate your little tasks that keep you from being present at an event? Or pass off annoying projects to someone else – without breaking the bank? And what if you could pull all this off straight from your mobile device – without an IT degree?
Discover how to use free and bargain technology tools you never knew existed to work more efficiently with your teams, create professional-level graphics and wow your colleagues. This high-energy session will give you 30+ tools that will leave people asking, “How DO they do that?”
Beth Ziesenis, your own personal Nerdy Best Friend, keeps up with all the new online applications and downloads that can help you look like you’re working with a team of marketing, computer and productivity experts, even if you suffer from a shrinking staff and a disappearing budget. Named an editor’s pick for best speaker of 2013 by MeetingsNet and a Favorite Speaker by Meetings & Conventions magazine in 2014, Beth Ziesenis is an author, speaker, technology consultant and self-proclaimed nerd!
PCMA Chairman Ray Kopcinski will be visiting on Education Day and will provide an organizational update on PCMA.

The organization recently announced their new goal….to reach 100,000 injured veterans by 2017 and raise $500 million for its long term support trust and to care for the most severely wounded after their caregivers are no longer able to provide the necessary care.
