 Student Program
We are hosting a special educational program for our hospitality industry students 2:00pm - 4:00pm that day. Round table discussions with industry members will allow students an opportunity to discuss careers in different areas of the hospitality. A hotel tour, complete with a back-of-th
e-house view, will complete the program. Students are invited/encouraged to attend "State of the Hospitality Industry."

The 2015 State of the Industry will provide you with insights into re-inventing for relevancy.  Hear professionals from sectors of our industry including hotel, convention bureau, and meeting planning as they share what they are doing to re-invent and remain relevant for 2016!

Brad Kent, Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau
Brad is the Senior Vice President and Chief Sales & Services Officer for the Dallas CVB. Prior to this role, Brad served as Senior Vice President of Sales & Services for Choose Chicago, and held executive positions with Freeman for 7 years, after a 26-year career with Hilto
n and Wyndham Hotels. He has served nationally on the PCMA Board of Directors and as a PCMA Education Foundation Trustee, as well as being the founding Treasurer of the Greater Midwest Chapter of PCMA.  He received the PCMA Distinguished Member award in 2012.

Dale Shuter, CMP, Electrical Apparatus Service Association (EASA)
Dale is the Meetings & Expositions Manager with EASA, and is a graduate of Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration. With over 25 years of association meeting planning experience, she has also served on the boards of the St. Louis Chapter of MPI, the Kansas City Chapter of MPI, the Heartland Chapter of PCMA and the Awards, Annual Program and Membership Committees for PCMA.


 

 
Jason Jordan, St. Louis Convention & Visitors Commission

Jason is the Director of Sales at the St. Louis Convention & Visitors Commission, and assists the Vice President of Sales in planning and administering sales policies and managing sales solicitation for the sales team at the SLCVC.
Prior to joining the SLCVC, Jason was Regional Director for Experient, providing leadership to the over 25 National Account Managers based in the western half of the United States. Through his 20 years in the hospitality industry, Jordan has held sales and leadership positions in hotels and with intermediaries.



   Bill Grusich, CMP, Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI). 
Bill, Vice President of Global Sales, joined ALHI's Chicago office in 2011 when ALHI acquired Hinton + Grusich (H+G), where Bill was co-founder and president from 1986-2010. Throughout his career, Bill has been very active in many industry organizations at the local and national levels, including Chicago Society of Association Executives (Association Forum of Chicagoland), the Chicago Area Chapter of Meeting Professionals International, and the Greater Midwest Chapter of PCMA. He has served two terms on the MPI International Board of Directors, and was the recipient of MPI’s acclaimed “Individual Hall of Fame Award” in 2003. He has chaired ASAE’s Industry Partner’s Alliance, and speaks frequently at industry programs for ASAE, MPI, PCMA, and AMC Institute Board meetings. Bill was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of PCMA (2015-2017). 


 
Justin Meyer, Kansas City Aviation Department
As the Deputy Director of Aviation – Marketing & Air Service Development since 2014, Justin leads the marketing, communication and customer service efforts for the Department’s two airports. From 2006-2012, he was the Department's Mgr. of Air Service Development. Justin left KC from 2012-2014 to serve as Dir. of Air Service Dev. for Tampa International Airport. In 2012 Justin was recognized as one of the "Top Forty Under Forty" leaders in aviation by Airport Business Magazine. He is the ACI-NA’s Marketing and Communications Steering Group Chair. Justin has a degree in Aviation Management from Florida Tech in Melbourne, Florida, and acquired Instrument, Commercial, Multi-Engine and Certified Flight Instructor ratings.
