Teaching vs. Educating: How Technology Can Make The Difference
Speaker: Richard Walls, Twebcast

Learn how to apply education principles to increase the learning outcomes of your next meeting or event. Understand how a shift from focusing on teaching to focusing on learning can maximize returns in terms of audience engagement and knowledge development. Discuss when, how, and which technology can be used to enhance education.

About the Speaker:
Richard Walls is a highly respected educator with experience at primary, secondary and tertiary education levels. A graduate degree in teaching and a masters degree researching the interaction between technology and education has provided a solid theoretical basis. Working in primary and secondary schools in Australia and Sweden has helped develop a unique understanding of cultural differences, and the importance that society and culture play in education. Richard was head of department and deputy principal at Sweden’s premier non-profit charter school organisation, whilst also spending time as an adjunct lecturer at Sweden’s oldest university, Uppsala University.

In San Francisco, Richard is working for a Swedish company, Twebcast, that utilizes technology to change the way we think about engagement and interactivity at meetings and events. Visit Richard at: https://www.linkedin.com/in/richardwalls
