Industry periodicals and the internet are full of forecasts and lists of trends that the experts predict will affect the meetings industry.  What will be the latest in technology?  Will contractual terms and pricing get tougher? Will the food truck concept continue to penetrate our minds when planning food service in the exhibit hall?  How will the continuing strength of the economy affect your meetings?  How will decisions made on Capitol Hill affect attendance at your programs? Will social media remain a big part of our lives and how can we engage attendees in meaningful conversation during the meeting? Where will you find the answers to these questions and many more?

This hands-on Planner Forum is designed to explore and foster open discussion on the trends that are in the news and how they may or may not affect your business.  We’ll take a unique approach to finding the trends within our own organizations, through the headlines of the day.  You’ll decide what the trends are and how you will approach them.  You’ll learn from colleagues what trends are important to them and if they are important to you. You’ll walk away from this fun and insightful platform with:

  1. How to interpret trends; What advice should be heeded and what shall pass.
  2. The ability to determine which trends will remain powerful;
  3. How to incorporate trends into your planning process;
  4. How to create your own trends.

Join the discussion and learn from experts in the meetings industry and your fellow planners!
