In today’s business climate, we are all affected by CHANGE: change to organizational structure, delivery of goods and services, financial management, and lifestyle.  Education Day will introduce tools and strategies to help you navigate through the changing environment in the meetings industry.

John Folks, President and Principal of Minding Your Business, Inc. will be presenting two sessions; “Evolving Your Meeting – Mapping the Attendee Experience” and “Bringing Change to Life.” The first session (9:00am-10:30am) will explore how to identify the most important needs from a variety of different attendee segments to help you design experiences that matter. During the second session (1:15pm-2:15pm), John will facilitate a panel discussion with meeting professionals who are considering changes to their meetings or are in the midst of redesigning their meeting. We’ll explore what factors impacted their decisions, the process they went through, and assess the results of those changes.  Bring your own stories and questions, as this will be an interactive session.

Learner objectives:
• Explain why it is necessary to take a strategic approach to analyzing the needs of your audiences
• Explore the process for a segmented approach to attendee needs analysis
• Translate data into a value driven experience and ultimately a must attend event

Matt Harvey, Vice President, Client Network Services, PSAV will present“Navigating Bandwidth, Wi-Fi and the Internet Services Sales Process” (10:45am-11:45am). Attend this session to learn how to avoid paying too much for Wi-Fi at your next event. To keep data flowing at an acceptable rate, it’s important to do advance bandwidth planning before you get onsite.

Learner objectives:
• Discuss the process involved in providing Wi-Fi service in a venue
• Make informed bandwidth and Wi-Fi decisions for all aspects of event and communicate decisions effectively to the venue
• Explain how to avoid the Wi-Fi failures
• Execute pricing and negotiations strategies
