That our world has changed these past several years is an obvious understatement. With the increasing scrutiny and the unfortunate negative perception of meetings in general (remember those $17 muffins??) what will the field of meeting planning look like in the years ahead? Indeed, will there even be a meetings industry?
Couple that with the public’s concern and the misguided belief that meetings are wasteful of time and money, one does wonder what’s ahead?
With still-decreasing budgets and still-increasing travel and safety concerns, what do the trend-spotters see for our future? How will this affect our own meetings?
Well, there is light at the end of that tunnel! And we’ll show you that brighter days are ahead. You’ll learn that futurists don’t really “predict” the future, but rather “project” the future based on trendlines that we see on a daily basis.
In this fun, fast-paced session, we’ll be discussing such items Accountability (ROI), Balance, Changing Demographics, Sustainability and a host of others as they pertain to our personal, professional and global responsibilities. In this interactive program, you’ll not only learn the “top ten” trends for our meetings industry, but more importantly do some “blue-sky” thinking to identify those areas that most impact your own areas of special interest.
As a result of attending this program, you will:
1. Identify the top ten trends impacting the meetings industry
2. Target in on three trends that most affect your job
3. Develop an action plan to address those challenges
