Event Summary

Join members of the Rocky Mountain PCMA Chapter and the MPI Rocky Mountain Chapter as Dave Mitchell returns for another powerful session from “The Power of Understanding People: The Value of Conflict”. What? There is value in conflict? This presentation is filled with laugh-out-loud humor and audience interaction delivered with Dave’s unique style to provide the tools to embrace the value of conflict with your clients, colleagues, vendors and family members. This will be an energizing, information filled topic exploring the heady cognitive psychology concepts of metacognition, dialectic thinking and the value of conflict. We’ll even discuss why so many people fall in love with a person who thinks completely differently from them and why that’s a good thing!

This program is a continuation of Dave’s 2013 presentation, “The Power of Understanding People”, which earned the Meeting Madness award for best event of the year at MPI WEC in Las Vegas. In December 2013, the book of the same name was released and was immediately named Best Business Book of the Month by Amazon. Dave’s books will be available for purchase immediately following the luncheon.

  • An appreciation for the value of conflict and how to navigate it effectively.
  • A strategy for reducing stress by embracing the people that you found difficult in the past.

About Dave Mitchell
