Community Involvement

PCMA SE Chapter 2015 Community Service:
The Atlanta Day Shelter for Women and Children is the main focus for our community service outreach and PCMA SE Chapter is scheduled to provide lunch two times per year (Spring and Fall). The Day Shelter works as part of the Atlanta Mission, which is the city’s largest and longest running provider of services to homeless men, women and children. Established in 1938, the non-profit organization provides emergency shelter, temporary shelter, recovery programming, job attainment and transitional housing to more than 950 individuals. Through our donation of lunch, we cook, serve and clean-up what may be the only hot meal that the people receive for that day.

Even if you are not able to help serve in 2015, please remember that the following are always “need items” for the shelter.
  • Baby items like wipes, diapers and lotion
  • Unused hotel amenities like soap and shampoo
  • New, un-opened makeup
  • Travel umbrellas
  • Ponchos
  • Re-usable water bottles
