2015 Board of Directors & 2015 Convening Leaders Scholarship

Dear PCMA SE Member,

PCMA Southeast Chapter 2015 Board of Directors
The PCMA Southeast Chapter Board of Directors is looking for members that are interested in serving on our 2015 Board.

In order to qualify for a Board of Director position, applicants must:
•    Be a PCMA member in good standing 
for at least one year at the time of application
•    Be a current member of the PCMA Southeast Chapter
•    Agree to attend monthly board meetings (in person or conference call) and an annual board retreat
•    Agree to commit 5-10 additional hours per month working in a capacity that helps to move forward the objectives of the board


As a member of the PCMA Southeast Chapter Board of Directors, you will set policy, establish the schedule of events, develop and present compelling programming, represent member needs, uphold the values and vision of PCMA, and support fundraising goals for the chapter.

Serving on the PCMA Southeast Chapter Board is a tremendous way to give back to our industry, develop friendships and working relationships, meet personal leadership goals, and advance your career!

If you are interested in serving, please complete the online application form for one of the following areas of Board Service:
•    President-Elect  (1 year term, to be followed with 1 year term as President and 1 year term as Immediate Past President)
•    Secretary/Treasurer (1 year term)
•    Director Programs (3 year term)
•    Director Sponsorship (3 year term)

Please complete the online application form here.  The deadline for submission is Friday, August 22, 2014 by 5:00 p.m.

You will be notified no later than September 26, 2014 if you have been selected to be included on the Board Slate, which will be sent out to our members to approve in October. Your candidacy will be reviewed and finalized, and you will be notified of your status as a Board Member by October 24, 2014.

Our 2014 Board Retreat will take place November 13-15, at the Augusta Marriott at the Convention Center in Augusta, Georgia. Please let us know on the application if you will be able to attend this planning meeting as well.

PCMA Convening Leaders Scholarship

PCMA Headquarters and the PCMA SE Chapter will be providing three separate scholarships to the 2015 PCMA Convening Leaders Annual Meeting in Chicago, IL.  Two scholarships are for Professional Members only and the other is open to all current PCMA SE Chapter Members.  The same application is used for all three scholarships.  The dates of the meeting are Sunday, January 11 through Wednesday, January 14, 2015.
 
PCMA Headquarters professional planner scholarship includes roundtrip airfare, hotel accommodations for (4) nights and the registration at the annual meeting. PCMA SE Chapter Scholarships cover the registration costs associated with attending the meeting.
 
If you are interested, please complete the scholarship application to explain your interest, and why you feel you should be awarded the scholarship. Applications must be received by Kevin Belanger no later than midnight Saturday, August 30, 2014.
