Scholarships

 

Scholarships from the Pacific Northwest Chapter of PCMA are available for the following:

  1. PCMA Annual Meeting
  2. PCMA Education Conference
  3. Annual Pass for all Chapter’s Meetings and Events
  4. Membership Dues
  5. Student Scholarships for Annual Meeting/Membership Dues and Annual Pass

In order to be eligible for a scholarship, applicants must meet the following prerequisites:

  1. Be an active member in good standing with a minimum of one continuous year of membership.

Scholarship recipients must meet the following requirements or may be asked to return scholarship funds:

  1. Maintain active membership in the Pacific Northwest Chapter of PCMA for at least one full year after scholarship receipt.
  2. Volunteer as a member of a committee or serve on the Board of Directors in the calendar year following scholarship receipt.

We will grant scholarships using a time/monetary value system.   A scholarship applicant may request/utilize up to $1,500 in a two year time-frame.  Two year time-frame begins on the initial date the first scholarship was given.   

Applicants may request funding based on their need – scholarship money will be available for registration, airfare, and hotel for conferences as well as general needs for Annual Program Passes or Membership Dues.  All scholarships awarded are to be used to reimburse actual expenses and reimbursement requests shall be submitted to the chapter’s Treasurer with accompanying documentation.

Scholarship Applications will be reviewed by the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors and their decision shall be final. Recipients will be notified in accordance with the following schedule:
