Greater Midwest Chapter

GMC-PCMA has selected Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly for its charity this year. Look here for upcoming events and details on how you can get involved.

May 8, from 9-11 a.m. Cinco de Mayo Coffee Club
355 N. Ashland, Chicago, IL 60607

Every Thursday, the elderly are invited to come and enjoy Coffee Club with Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly. This free event features food, fun, volunteers, and, of course, coffee, and is designed to provide conversation and community for those who attend. Watch this video for an inside-look at the Coffee Club events.

Volunteer slots are almost filled for the May 8 event, but there are more ways you can help for this and future events:

  • Share your special talent
  • Bring games and facilitate participation from the seniors
  • Donate a gift card ($10, $20, $25) for stores like Walgreens, Jewel, CVS, Walmart
  • Provide goodie bags (quantity 60)
Contact Rhonda Chesney, CMP, Chair of Little Brothers Sub-Committee, to donate an item, share your ideas, and ask about participation for the May 8 event. Email

Stay tuned for more volunteer opportunities with Little Brothers and information on how you can support the charity.
