The members of the PCMA Capital Chapter supported multiple local charities, fueling its mission to serve
the community and make a difference in the lives of those in need.
N Street Village, a community of empowerment and recovery for homeless and low-income women in Washington, D.C, was our Charity of the Year for 2012. More than 52 members cooked and served meals twice a month totaling more than 100 volunteer hours. The Chapter raised through our various fundraising activities held during the year, a total of $5,825 for N Street Village.
“N Street Village is making a difference in women’s lives and the Capital Chapter is pleased to support such a worthwhile organization,” said Karin Fitzgerald, 2012 PCMA Capital Chapter President.
Through three fundraising projects, the Chapter donated $3,275 to the PCMA Education Foundation, which fuels advancement, nurtures professional development and shapes tomorrow’s meeting and convention leaders by financially committing to grants for scholarships, educational programming and research for innovation.
