Session Description:

Insight and Trends Impacting F2F Engagements

As the world continues to evolve at an exponential rate, the rapid pace of change has created a new dynamic for the events industry, where audiences now arrive at events with higher expectations for engagement, interaction, and personal gain.

In addition to event trends, this session will also look outside our industry at the social, behavioral, and technological factors that will ultimately become the drivers of our industry’s future. The approach comes from the belief that the event space and everything in it is part of a system. There are numerous examples of seemingly small outliers having a profound impact on the outcome of larger systems. Consider the connections between body and mind, or organisms and their environment, and one can start to recognize the interdependence of everything. Our industry is no exception.

In short, a successful event and a powerful experience is never the result of just one thing—it is the culmination of numerous forces that converge. How these forces, or trends, oscillate and change through the system have powerful implications for the events industry.

This session will endeavor you to be ready to make these trends work for Your organization, instead of against your organization. Identifying your audiences’ needs and the major external areas of disruptive change is the first step.
