The St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort in Puerto Rico has appointed Tiago Sarmento director of sales and marketing. Sarmento previously was director of sales and marketing for The St. Regis Tianjin, China.
Alan Patterson has been promoted to the position of Director, International Events and National Accounts for the Mendelssohn group. In his new role Al’s primary focus will be to secure International Trade Show Events globally. His mandate will include the development of city wide conventions and National Customs Brokerage accounts for the Mendelssohn organization.
George Hutcheson has joined Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) as Director of Sales in the West Region. In his new position he is responsible for providing meeting professionals, association executives, convention specialists, and business executives with ALHI Global Sales Organization (GSO) services and support with its distinctive portfolio of more than 140 Four- and Five-Diamond quality hotels and resorts worldwide. Hutcheson’s primary focus is on business development with strategic accounts, and those in Southern California, Nevada and New Mexico, a market area he has previously served for over a decade as the Director of Gaylord Hotels & Resorts’ Western Region National Sales Office (NSO).
