Billy Sherry
Team San Jose announced that CEO Bill Sherry will retire in September 2013, with a nationwide CEO search beginning first quarter 2013.

"Bill's leadership has played a key role in Team San Jose's turnaround, resulting in a stronger, more strategic company that is laser focused on business," said Michael Mulcahy, Team San Jose Board Chairman. "We have a year to find our next CEO, and with a talented executive team who remains in place, a strong board of directors, and a positive City partnership, I expect a smooth transition. Team San Jose has a strong platform for customer service and industry innovation and we'll have a new convention center that we believe will attract the "best of the best" for our top spot." 

Scott Jernstrom 
Scott Jernstrom has been appointed director of sales and marketing at the New Orleans Marriott. Jernstrom most recently was an asset manager at Bethesda Marriott.

Tiago Sarmento
The St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort in Puerto Rico has appointed Tiago Sarmento director of sales and marketing. Sarmento previously was director of sales and marketing for The St. Regis Tianjin, China.

Alan Patterson
Alan Patterson has been promoted to the position of Director, International Events and National Accounts for the Mendelssohn group. In his new role Al’s primary focus will be to secure International Trade Show Events globally. His mandate will include the development of city wide conventions and National Customs Brokerage accounts for the Mendelssohn organization.

George Hutcheson
George Hutcheson has joined Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) as Director of Sales in the West Region. In his new position he is responsible for providing meeting professionals, association executives, convention specialists, and business executives with ALHI Global Sales Organization (GSO) services and support with its distinctive portfolio of more than 140 Four- and Five-Diamond quality hotels and resorts worldwide. Hutcheson’s primary focus is on business development with strategic accounts, and those in Southern California, Nevada and New Mexico, a market area he has previously served for over a decade as the Director of Gaylord Hotels & Resorts’ Western Region National Sales Office (NSO).
