PCMA’s Service In Sync
Volunteers are the backbone of PCMA. From the direction of the organization to industry strategy, volunteers guide the way.
Each November PCMA hosts a day, Service In Sync® (SIS), for volunteers to turn their efforts to their community and give back to the Chapter areas.
We will gather in a cooperative spirit to demonstrate our commitment and consciousness to our community responsibility.
The Southwest & Pacific Chapter invites all members and friends to join us for this rewarding experience. Keep an eye on our event calendar for updates.
2013 Chapter Service in Sync
This year the PCMA Southwest & Pacific Chapter supported the Good Shepherd Shelter, a transitional women’s shelter in Los Angeles and Shade Tree Shelter in Las Vegas. In Los Angeles, we provided volunteer services to beautify their campus environment by joining as a workforce to paint the interior of a 1,200 square-foot housing unit resident families. In Las Vegas, we provided organizational support.
2012 Chapter Service In Sync at the Good Shepard Shelter
Volunteers gathered at the Good Shepherd Shelter to help distribute 110 cubic feet of wood chips throughout their 12,000 square-foot playground. Equipped with gardening gloves, rakes and sheer determination, the volunteers worked together to help make the playground a better – and safer - place for the children to grow and play.
