PCMA Education Foundation Funds the Translation of PCMA’s CASE Online Course
CHICAGO, IL, November 9, 2012 - The Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA), with support from the PCMA Education Foundation, announced the release of the Certified Association Sales Executive (CASE) Online CourseTM translation into Spanish.
The CASE Online CourseTM was originally developed and recently enhanced to help busy sales executives fill their association knowledge gaps and arm them with new tools to unlock doors to key decision makers. “By translating the course into Spanish, PCMA has created a new opportunity for Spanish speaking professionals, involved in selling to the association marketplace, to increase their understanding of the association marketplace and hone their association selling skills”, said Deborah Sexton, PCMA President and CEO.
The translation of the course was funded in part by a generous grant from the PCMA Education Foundation, whose mission is to support PCMA by driving innovation and learning for the global meetings community. “With the increasing demand for PCMA global education offerings, this was an important 2012 initiative for the Foundation to support and fund. In 2013 global meeting professionals will see the Foundation play a more active role in bringing education to both the North American and global community” said Liz Erikson, PCMA Education Foundation Chair.
The CASE Online Course™ is online, interactive and consists of 10 building block modules that systemically build the participant's knowledge of association management, enhances business acumen and ultimately prepares them to strategically align their products and services with association customers. The course culminates with participants taking their collective association knowledge, building an account plan and presenting a consultative presentation to their chosen association customer to demonstrate newly acquired expertise.
CASE Online Course™ participants are awarded a certificate and 7 CEUs upon successful completion of all 10 modules.
“As PCMA continues to look at opportunities for growth in the global marketplace, translating the CASE program into Spanish, for the broader Latin American region, was an opportunity identified by our global community. We’ve already begun collaborating with our chapter in Mexico to promote the benefits of obtaining a CASE certificate”, added Sexton.
