Reed Travel Exhibitions has announced management changes for IBTM America 2015 (renamed following AIBTM 2014) with Jaime Rosov appointed as Event Director. Michael J. Lyons, who has been at the helm of AIBTM for the past two years, is leaving to pursue other personal career interests. Rosov has worked on the show for the past 2.5 years, and is a 9-year veteran of Reed Exhibitions. Other Reed events Rosov has worked on include the National Hardware Show, PGA Shows, JCK Shows, ReedPOP group and ISC (Security Shows) among others.
Visit Baltimore recently hired Sally Sutera as the regional director of sales for the Northeast region. Sutera brings more than 19 years of experience in hospitality, destination marketing and group sales to her role at Visit Baltimore. She joins Visit Baltimore from OnPeak, an event housing vendor, where she served as the regional director of sales and services, targeting the New York market. Previously, Sutera was the director of destination services at NYC & Company, the official marketing organization for the city of New York.
Susan Richardson has been promoted to Complex Director of Sales & Marketing for Interstate’s Bedford Hotel and a soon to be announced property which are located here in the midtown area. Both of these hotels will soon undergo major renovations and a complete rebranding of the properties.
Bellstar Hotels & Resorts, Calgary, Canada, has appointed Ian Thorley as director, sales & marketing. Thorley was previously in the same position with the Delta Sun Peaks Resort & Residence in British Columbia.
Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas has named Fernando (Gus) Tejeda as its new director of marketing. He returns to the hotel after serving on the property’s opening team as director of sales in 1999.
Silversmith Hotel in Chicago has named Marc Foster as the new director of sales and marketing.
