Kat Bryer has joined Visit Baltimore as a sales manager, coming from the Hyatt Regency Baltimore, where she worked for the past four years, first as a sales assistant and most recently as a senior sales manager. Bryer will be handling the Northeast territory.

Renee Areng, the assistant director of tourism for Visit Baton Rouge, is the new executive director of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Regional Convention and Visitors Bureau. Areng is currently executive vice president of sales and marketing at Visit Baton Rouge.

Tom Mobley, who has served as Global Spectrum senior vice president of Convention Centers since January of 2006, has retired, effective June 30. Before joining Global Spectrum, Mobley served as general manager and CEO of the Washington Convention Center Authority in Washington, D.C. He also spent 11 years as general manager of the largest convention center in the U.S., the McCormick Place in Chicago.
Mike Ruberry has joined Metropolitan Exposition Services, as vice president of Industry Relations. Ruberry comes to Metro-Expo with 32 years of industry experience. The first 16 were on the service contractor side working for United Exposition Service Company (UX)/GES holding the positions of account executive, operations manager, assistant general manager, vice president and general manager and vice president of national sales. The last 16 were with George Little Management, now Emerald Expositions, most recently as vice president of Operations and Customer Relations.
Barb Bowden has been named managing director of operations for Loews Hotels at Universal Orlando in Orlando, Florida. Bowden previously was general manager of the Orange County Convention Center.
Jennifer Cronin has been named vice president, sales and marketing, at Marco Polo Hotel Group in Hong Kong. Cronin previously was vice president of sales and marketing for Dusit International.

The Detroit Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau (DMCVB) has named David Dew senior national sales manager. Dew joins the DMCVB from the Meet Chicago Northwest Convention & Visitors Bureau in Villa Park, Illinois. Dew brings nearly 20 years of experience in a variety of positions in the hospitality and tourism industry to the DMCVB. His role will be to sell metro Detroit as a destination for meetings and conventions to the Chicago corporate and associations market. One of his primary focuses is the medical meetings market.
The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel has named Gino Marasco director of sales. With nearly 20 years of hospitality experience, he will now be responsible for overseeing the group sales operation at the 2,265-room hotel. Prior to joining the hotel, Marasco led the sales teams at properties including The Hilton Orlando, The Loews Atlanta, The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds Plantation and The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island.
The Kentucky State Fair Board has named Linda Edwards Vice President and General Manager of the Kentucky International Convention Center. Edwards, a longtime executive at the fair board, was most recently Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Edwards was responsible for booking nearly 400 events each year at both the convention center and the Kentucky Exposition Center.

MC2 announced that Martin Knott has joined the company as president of the southwest division, which includes Las Vegas, San Francisco and Kingman, Arizona. In addition, MC2 has promoted William Foster to vice president of the southwest division.
Rosa Harris has been named director of tourism for the Cayman Islands. Harris had served as interim director since last December, following the resignation of Shomari Scott. She has been with the Department of Tourism since 2006, when she served as the national promotions and events manager.
