How to Stay Productive on the Road

By Daniel Metz

The life of a meeting professional is filled with time outside of the office. Treks to the airport, cross-country or continent flights, sitting around the terminal – it’s endless and you need to stay on top of projects. Here’s a few helpful tips to get you through your next trip.

Set reminders in your calendar

Your travels don’t stop deadlines so use your Google, iCal, Outlook (or all) to your advantage. Have something you need to review? Put it in the calendar. Need to send out an email at a certain time? Put it in the calendar. Need a report run? Put…you get it.

To-do Lists

You’ve got your reminders set up, your team is ready for your absence and you’re well rested. Writing out a to-do list will help you prioritize your busy day and physically writing things down help you remember. Plus the sweet satisfaction of drawing a line through that completed task is (almost) better than chocolate cake.
