The charge of the Convening Leaders Content Committee (CLCC) is to work in conjunction with the PCMA Education Department to identify relevant educational subject matter and potential presenters for the concurrent sessions at Convening Leaders. The CLCC will strive to identify creative and innovative topics that address the business and professional challenges of PCMA members and meetings industry. This will be accomplished in close collaboration with the PCMA Education Department, the PCMA Meetings & Events Department, the PCMA Board of Directors, and other subject matter experts. This committee will review the proposed education program developed by the PCMA Education Department based on the established subject matter recommendations.
The PCMA Achievement Awards and Recognition Committee works with staff to develop and promote the PCMA Achievement Awards and Recognition program to honor the best and brightest in the meetings industry. The committee works to promote nominations throughout the industry, make recommendations to the PCMA Board of Directors on honoree selections and works with staff to develop ways to celebrate the honorees' accomplishments.
The charge of the PCMA Education Conference Content Committee is to analyze and develop the direction for the educational content of the PCMA Education Conference. The Education Conference Content Committee will strive to identify creative and innovative content which meets the leadership development needs of current and future PCMA members. This will be accomplished in close collaboration with the PCMA Education Department, the PCMA Meetings & Events Department, and other subject matter experts.
The Membership Committee is charged by the Board of Directors to ensure that the PCMA member value position and brand is clearly conveyed to both existing and potential members. As part of its charge, the committee may be asked to help staff evaluate new member resources and identify new members and new member markets. The Membership Committee will act as a sounding board for the critical messages and initiatives necessary for recruitment and retention of PCMA members.
Specific committee activities include:
• Recruit new PCMA members
• Assist with member retention through outreach to members up for renewal
• Support the various services created to enhance member experiences
• Support the Membership Chairs of the PCMA Chapters to ensure continuity and achievement of membership objectives
• Committee members may be asked to make phone calls, staff booths, or otherwise communicate with members and potential members
The Digital Strategy Committee works in concert with staff to recommend strategies for engagement and implementation of new technologies allowing PCMA to remain competitive and showcase innovative solutions to its members and the larger audience. This committee will strive to identify the needs and trends effecting membership and the meetings industry. Ideas and findings will be used in a variety of face to face, online, and print resources (i.e. Convene, Tech Central, membership webinars, etc.).
