Rocky Mountain Chapter Award Program
Call for nominations typically occurs in November with a deadline in mid January.
The RMPCMA All-Hearts Auction held in early February is where the winners for the winners are announced. We need your assistance in nominating those you feel are qualified and deserving of being recognized for their outstanding service and contributions to our chapter. Please review the award descriptions below and get ready to submit your nomination along with a brief description of the reasons you feel the individual or company is worthy of the specific award. The Awards Committee as outlined in the RMPCMA Policies and Procedures will consist of the Current President, two Past Presidents and any other members as appointed by the Current President. This committee will select the award winners based on nominations received from the general membership.
OUTSTANDING SERVICE TO THE CHAPTER
Presented to the individual who through his/her involvement in PCMA at both the international and chapter levels has contributed to the success of the organization and the profession. Only awarded when warranted.
SPECIAL RECOGNITION
Presented to the member or non-member as recognition for their contribution to PCMA or the chapter.
AWARD OF DEDICATION
DENVER METRO MEMBER Presented to the member or non-member who through his or her actions has contributed to the success of the chapter. The Denver Metro area is defined as Denver and surrounding suburbs including Boulder. Only awarded when warranted.
OUTLYING AREA MEMBER Presented to the member or non-member who through his or her actions has contributed to the success of the chapter. Outlying area defined as an area outside of the Denver Metro/Boulder areas including the rest of Colorado, Utah, Wyoming and New Mexico. Only awarded when warranted.
STUDENT MEMBER Presented to the member or non-member who through his or her actions has contributed to the success of the chapter. Student member defined as an individual who is currently studying in a hospitality related field. Only awarded when warranted.
CONTRIBUTION AWARD-PROFESSIONAL MEMBER
Awarded to the individual who has displayed the most involvement and dedication to the chapter in the Professional category of membership.
CONTRIBUTION AWARD-SUPPLIER PARTNER MEMBER
Awarded to the individual who has displayed the most involvement and dedication to the chapter in the Supplier Partner category of membership.
NEW MEMBER AWARD
Presented to the member(s) who have shown the most involvement in the chapter since their join dates within the previous year.
SUSTAINING PROFESSIONAL MEMBER ORGANIZATION
Awarded to the Professional Member Organization that has multiple Professional members, whose involvement includes sponsorships at the chapter level and support of their personnel's individual involvement through chapter attendance at PCMA functions, chapter board and committee work.
SUSTAINING SUPPLIER PARTNER ORGANIZATION
Awarded to the Supplier Partner Member Organization that has multiple Supplier Partner members, whose involvement includes sponsorships at the chapter level and support of their personnel's individual involvement through chapter attendance at PCMA functions, chapter board and committee work.
PEOPLE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE AWARD
Awarded to the organization whose efforts in the year have contributed significantly to the success of the chapter and its activities.
DEB WEST MEMORIAL AWARD
This award was created in honor of Deb West, past president of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of PCMA, whose qualities and commitment have set a standard for community service within our chapter.
The nomination shall recognize an individual who has performed work above and beyond the call of duty for outstanding service within the community. The award recognizes extraordinary commitment over the past year of significant involvement with initiating programs and services, which benefit the community at large. This individual has shown exceptional generosity in their willingness to help others in need.
Rocky Mountain Chapter Annual Meeting Scholarships
Each year the Rocky Mountain Chapter of PCMA awards a minimum of two (2) scholarships to the Annual Conference. All members (professional, supplier, and students) are eligible. Look for details in the fall regarding the application criteria and process.
HQ Professional Member Annual Meeting Scholarship
When funds are available PCMA HQ will sponsor one (1) Professional Member the opportunity to attend the Annual Conference. Recipients are chosen by each the Chapter Leadership in each region. Look for details in the fall regarding the application criteria and process.
