A Message From the President:
It is summer and it looks like the weather may be finally turning a bit warmer. We just had an excellent program at Microsoft on Technology for Learning and Creating Memorable Meetings with Dick Carlson, Virtual Content Company. We had over 50 of us gather and consider the changing environment in the meetings industry. We considered some of the following ideas/questions. How do we utilize technology to enhance our attendee experiences not only onsite but before and after an event? Can we utilize blogs, social network sites and speaker outlines to build content and energy for an upcoming event? How about using this same media and others to keep the education and content growing long after the event. Check out Dick's site at www.techherding.com
We will be meeting on August 7th at Food Lifeline from 2-5pm. Look for more information to come. We hope you can join us for this opportunity to spend a few hours helping others in our region.
Please don't forget to submit a nomination or two to the PCMA Awards due July 31st.
Join us for our next educational program at the 7th Annual PCMA/MPI Industry Summit. We will be at the WSCTC in conjunction with the 2008 Northwest Events Trade Show.
