Mission: The Capital Chapter of the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) delivers breakthrough education, encourages involvement in community-based service programs, and promotes the value of professional convention and meeting management at the local level.

Vision: To be the professional association of choice for the Convention and Meeting Industry in the Washington DC Region.

Welcome to the PCMA Capital Chapter web site. If you are a member already, you know that the chapter is a great way to enhance your career through professional development and networking. If you are not a member yet, we welcome you to become part of the magic that is unique to PCMA, and encourage you to join today.

The Capital Chapter continues to be a leading source of education in the Washington, DC metropolitan area and our PCMA community enriches our members' success. We offer exceptional Educational Programs that focus on the key issues facing the meeting professional today and preparing them for the issues of tomorrow. We provide Capital Classrooms, which are designed to be smaller, informal gatherings of professionals focused on a specific topic in various neighborhoods around the region during the lunch hour. Networking receptions and special events also provide the opportunity to build stronger bonds with colleagues from throughout the industry and help turn professional relationships into friendships.

The Capital Chapter is driven by the dedicated members that volunteer their time to lead, organize and produce the work of the Chapter. Volunteer opportunities are varied based upon your interests and time commitment available. There are standing committees where you can serve on an annual basis, and there are ad hoc needs that are short term and task-specific which enables members to contribute when they have only a short window of time available.

The strength of the Chapter is dependent upon you and your engagement.
