Lorena Fuentes, CMP, received her Travel and Tourism degree from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. She began her career as an intern with the Albuquerque Convention and Visitors Bureau (ACVB) in 1994 with an internship with the Walt Disney World Resort. She continued to work with the ACVB until she accepted a sales position with Wyndham Hotels where she worked until 2000 when she accepted a position at the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau (CCTB) in the Services Department. After 5 years with CCTB, she was given the opportunity from the College of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) to begin a career as a meeting coordinator. Shortly after, she accepted the position at PCMA. Fuentes has been a member of PCMA since 2000.
