Michelle Russell is Convene’s editor. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Montclair State University and began her career as a nonfiction book editor at Ballantine Books, a division of Random House. Prior to joining Convene® in 2003, she served as editor for variety of trade publications and Web sites focused on commercial real estate and food retailing.

Chris Durso, Executive Editor

Before joining Convene®, Durso was Managing Director of Coulter Creative, a business unit of The Coulter Companies that provides publications and communications services to a variety of nonprofit organizations. Prior to that, he served as Director of Periodicals for Community Associations Institute, where he edited the award-winning Common Ground magazine and supervised the production of five targeted newsletters. He also worked as Senior Editor of The New Physician magazine, published by the American Medical Student Association, and as a suburban correspondent for The Philadelphia Inquirer. A graduate of St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, he lives in Arlington, Virginia, with his wife and two daughters.

Peggy Swisher, Managing Editor, Convene

Peggy Swisher is Convene's managing editor, involved in producing, editing, and writing Convene and its supplements. She was a senior editor at Successful Meetings for two years, and prior to that served as the content manager for the Times Square Millennium (New York City) Web site. As an associate editor for National Jeweler, she was a finalist for the 1999 Neal Award from the American Business Press for her investigative coverage into the color enhancement of diamonds in Moscow, Russia. She began her career as a newspaper journalist, working as a general assignment reporter, features writer, and lifestyle editor. She earned her bachelor's degree in English writing from the University of Pittsburgh, with a minor in theater.
