What is planned giving?
Planned giving is a major gift made during your lifetime that benefits the charity or non-profit of your choice after you have passed. It's a way for many people to make a larger gift than they would likely be able to make from their income that can make a real difference for the future of the causes you care about, while making tax sense today.
What does it support?
A planned gift to the PCMA Education Foundation supports future scholarships, research and education that advances the future of face to face meetings and the professionalism of the meetings industry.

Why give?
You may have already supported the PCMA Education Foundation through one or several donations through the Annual Giving Campaign, attendance at Party With a Purpose or attended our Dinner Celebrating Professional Achievement. Perhaps you've purchased a silent auction package. These are ways our members and industry have come to support the future of meetings and the Foundation's mission. Recently, the PCMA Education Foundation Board of Trustees approved Planned Giving as an option for those who wish to support the Foundation.
This Planned Giving option offers a significant new opportunity to forward the Foundation's important work. PCMA Education Foundation Case for Support

- 28% want to create a lasting legacy

Your wishes and letting your family know about your commitment
Loved ones are not to be forgotten when pledging a planned gift. If it is important for you to leave something behind for your heirs, this should be taken into account as you consider a gift. Many find that in planning their estate, there is room for a gift to a favorite non-profit, many with tax advantages. It's important to let your heirs know about your commitment to your industry and your pledge.
Can I feel confident about my planned gift to PCMA?
PCMA was founded in 1957 and the PCMA Education Foundation was founded in 1985 to support the mission of PCMA through scholarships, research, education and community outreach. Both PCMA and the Foundation have a long and proud history and a track record of success at educating and advancing our industry. Both organizations have sound operating budgets and financial reserves and are organizationally stable with industry leading Board leadership. The financial integrity of both organizations should make you feel confident about your gift.
Why make a decision now?
Planned gifts are made during your lifetime with the non-profit benefitting after you pass. While you think about estate planning and develop or amend wills is the right time to decide to form your legacy.
How do I give?
The best way to give is to make a written pledge. This can simply be a letter written in your own words and sent to the PCMA Education Foundation along with a Declaration of Intent. It is then be your responsibility to set your affairs in order so that your pledge can be fulfilled.
