On behalf of the Chapter, we want to welcome you to our site! Our members are some of the most involved in the industry, and thanks to our dedicated volunteers, we offer cutting-edge programs, community service projects, professional recognition, and many other opportunities for our members.

Dear Southwest & Pacific Chapter,

I am excited to serve as President of the Southwest & Pacific Chapter of PCMA in 2012. I look forward to building on the foundation of success that our prior leadership established these past few years.

I would like to recognize our current and past board members, committee chairs and members who have dedicated their time to creating a successful chapter. Our 2012 board has convened and developed a strategic plan that will focus on delivering high quality education, growing our number of professional members, engaging all members to participate in activities and ensuring the financial health of the chapter.

Our chapter will host educational events in 2012 that will provide you with the skills, knowledge and information to be more successful in your job. I encourage you to make the commitment and attend these educational programs. Consider bringing a client, co-worker or industry colleague to our events and share the experience. For those professional members are interested in attending our events though your budget is limited, our chapter will host your first meeting registration.

To be successful, our chapter needs the support of all members. In particular, we have standing committees that provide you with an opportunity to expand your professional network and help shape the direction of our chapter. Our committees include: Membership, Sponsorship, Service in Sync, Hospitality and Student Outreach. If you are interested in volunteering for a committee, please let me know and I will connect you with the appropriate board or committee leader.

2012 HOST VENUES WANTED!

PCMA Southwest & Pacific Chapter is currently looking for host venues for their 2012 monthly programs. These programs are an opportunity for the host property to showcase its facilities to SW&P PCMA members who do business in the Southern California area. Hosting a luncheon allows meeting planners to see what your property has to offer-especially ideal for those facilities with recently completed renovations. Ratio of attendees at chapter meetings is 50% meeting planners and 50% suppliers.
