Dear Members and Future Members,
Welcome to the Northern California Chapter! I am looking forward to a great 2012 and am thankful to Brian Bouchelle and the 2011 board for all their hard work this past year. Thank you to our 2011 and 2012 Strategic Partners: Freeman, Oakland Audio-Visual Service Inc, and Bay Area Event Photography.
2012 is sure to be another successful year with a continued focus on exceptional education and networking opportunities. In addition, we look to increase member involvement and stay financially secure in order to provide more scholarships for members to attend chapter programs and Convening Leaders.
We will be trying a few new things this year with programming to ensure we are providing the best opportunities to learn and engage. Check out our next event and see for yourself! If you are planner, PCMA is here to support your professional growth. We are glad to offer first time planner attendees complimentary registration for the next program or mixer. Many of our programs offer continuing education credits (CEU's) as well.
Get the most out of PCMA by getting involved and supporting the chapter! An organization is only as strong as its members, so join a committee, speak up at our events, meet a new colleague, or mentor a student. There are many opportunities to participate no matter how much or how little time you have. Our committees include: Programs, Membership, Sponsorship, Communications, Awards, Member Relations, BAMIES and Community Relations.
Consider supporting the chapter by:
· Hosting one of our programs or mixers
· Sponsoring planner attendees at our event
· Donating raffle and silent auction items at our premier event, the BAMIES
· Becoming a Strategic Partner for 2012
· Using those marketing dollars to advertise in our quarterly newsletter "The Bridge"
