A Message From the President
Mike McCurry, Experient

It all began in 1993, when I attended my first PCMA chapter meeting in Denver, CO. Conferon (now Experient) had just opened its new office in Colorado. My boss, Bruce Harris, suggested it would be a great idea for me to get involved in PCMA. He predicted I would quickly develop a strong network of contacts in the Denver area meetings business, as well as benefit from PCMA's educational opportunities.

Sure enough, Bruce was absolutely right!! Immediately I was impressed with the quality of events held by the Rocky Mountain Chapter, and the people I met were amazing. Before too long I became deeply immersed in committee work and leadership activities for that chapter. To this day, I enjoy strong friendships with my Rocky Mountain colleagues!!

In 2001 I relocated to Chicago and subsequently joined GMC. In the Windy City I continue to build relationships, benefit from high quality education and great social networking at PCMA events. Serving the members of this chapter has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. The quality of GMC's programming, the intensity of our charitable events, and the thought leadership of our members is extraordinary. I am proud to be associated with such fantastic colleagues!

The business world is changing rapidly, and 2009 is going to be a pivotal year for GMC PCMA. We plan to introduce new technology to our events and roll out new methods of delivering educational and networking opportunities to our members. To make all this possible we need your assistance!! Please get involved on a committee, participate on a task force or just attend our events. Tell your business friends and colleagues about your experiences at GMC events.

This website is a tool for you to leverage in your ongoing business activities. A lot of time and effort has been put forth by our committees and leadership to make this place functional for you. If you have suggestions for improvement please reach out to us. Feel free to contact me anytime!!. My email is mike.mccurry@experient-inc.com, or you may reach me by phone at (847) 825-0243.

I look forward to seeing you at our events and all the best to you for a successful 2009!

Mike McCurry
2009 GMC President
