Welcome to the PCMA Capital Chapter! It is an honor for me to be the chapter president for 2012. I have grown both professionally and personally through my involvement in PCMA, and I encourage YOU to be an active member of PCMA - specifically through the Capital Chapter. This year, I am asking all members to increase their involvement by at least one - one educational event, one networking event, one philanthropic event - your choice! The PCMA Capital Chapter affords myriad opportunities for all members to be involved.

Whether you are a planner professional, supplier, faculty member, or a student, you will reap greater rewards for your membership investment with greater involvement.

The PCMA Capital Chapter offers programs and events to help you both professionally and personally. Expand and enhance your professional development and industry knowledge by attending an Educational Program, Planner or Supplier Forum, and Capital Classrooms. Expand your relationships by participating in our networking events: the "Mix-n-Bowl," a baseball event with the D.C. Nationals, the PCMA Capital Chapter Golf Open, and the ever-popular Networking Happy Hours.

If you really want to step up your involvement, I encourage you to join a committee. Whatever your area of interest or level of expertise, we can find a match for your volunteer efforts. Even if you don't reside in the D.C. area, most committees are set up with technology to allow members to participate from anywhere in the U.S.
